Compare and contrast historical and current pollution levels at a given location and predict future pollution trends.
Pollution trends have differed over time. In the Industrial Revolution Era of the United States, for example, pollution would have been a little more prevalent than in the era before due the discovery of the high value of coal and oil. In today's society, pollution has backed away from that of coal and oil, but has geared toward atmospheric pollution and Global Warming. Transportation methods have attempted to be more environmentally savvy with the creation of hybrid cars, however, the concentration of CO2 build-up in large cities causes a massive issue with the Greenhouse Gas Effect (Low Carbon Economy Act, 2007). Bigger is not necessarily better from an environmental standpoint.
